Abstract

This study aims to find out whether there is an influence between the way accounting students adapt, their education and personality towards being aware of the industrial revolution 4.0 and their challenges as accountants in the future. The research was conducted using a quantitative method involving 84 respondents from Andalas University accounting students. The results of this study indicate that adaptation, education and personality affect the awareness of accounting students about the industrial revolution 4.0. This research contributes in terms of what can be used in the curriculum where tertiary institutions can form it as a stimulus or input to find out the factors that influence student awareness and increase adaptation and awareness of the accounting profession in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era.
