Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to analyze the Effectiveness of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) on inflation control in the city of Padang (Case study on the TPID of Padang City). The data used in this study is time series data for 19 years (2004-2022 period) obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Padang City. This research method is a quantitative study while the process and data analysis uses the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) Model to see the effect of TPID on inflation control in Padang City. The results showed that the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) had an effect on controlling inflation in the city of Padang. This can be seen from the results of the analysis that the graph of the predicted inflation line is above the factual inflation line (real inflation The strategy carried out by the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) in controlling inflation in the City of Padang consists of 3 (three) steps, namely: (a) Making a Work Plan involving related elements; (b) Conduct coordination meetings to seek solutions to problems encountered in controlling and monitoring inflation; and (c) Cooperating with areas outside the City of Padang. In addition to encouraging TPID enthusiasm in carrying out its work program, the Mayor of Padang issued Decree number 522 of 2020 concerning the 2020-2023 Regional Inflation Control Roadmap.
