Abstract
This research focuses on the meaning of short notice against Covid-19. This research aims to identify what are the types of meaning in the short notices used against Covid-19 and analyzing what is the most dominant type of meaning found in the short notices against Covid-19. The source of data in this research was taken from digital flyers about Covid-19 which were obtained from the official websites of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). The data were collected by using the non-participant observation method. Then, the data were analyzed by using the theory of meaning by Lyon (1997) and Leech (1974). The result of this research is presented in a descriptive form and summarized in table form. From this research, the writer found 42 short notices. The type of conceptual meaning is the most dominant type of meaning found in the short notices, with a percentage of 100%, than connotative meaning, stylistic meaning, affective meaning, reflected meaning, collocative meaning, and thematic meaning.
