Euphemism is a language that is used to refine the meaning. The use euphemism is presented to convey the ideas, intentions, events, and information to other people. The purpose of this research is to clarify the use of euphemism by the proponents in presenting their opinion about the presidential candidates in 2014 in terms of form, meaning, functions, and social aspects related to the proponents. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data is the comment of presidential candidate proponents that taken from Facebook page toward the presidential election from February to July 2014. The data were collected by using observational method through note-taking, non-participatory observational, and capture technique. The data were analyzed by using distributional method and identity method (referential, translational, orthographic, and pragmatic). The results of the analysis are presented by formal and informal method. Having analyzed the data, it is found that there are two forms of euphemism. They are word and phrase by formal innovation (borrowing, reduplication, and abbreviation) and by semantic innovation (implication, metaphor, and hyperbole). The dominant form is phrase in which it is regarded more effective in conveying something. The meanings of euphemism are connotative, collocative, and synonym. The functions of euphemism are protection euphemism, deceit euphemism, enthusiasm euphemism, and provocative euphemism. The social aspects that influenced the proponent use the euphemism are sex, age, region, and occupation. Keywords: euphemism, proponent, facebook
