Abstract

Menurut Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) tahun 2014 di Indonesia pada anak laki-laki sudah mengkonsumsi rokok sebanyak 36,2% dan pertama kali menghisap rokok pada usia 12-13 tahun sebanyak 43,2%. Menurut data Balitbang Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2013, Provinsi Sumbar menduduki peringkat ke-4 dengan persentase 15,8%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan teman sebaya dan efikasi diri terhadap perilaku merokok remaja di SMPN 13 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional dengan metode proporsional random sampling untuk menentukan jumlah sampel sebanyak 175 siswa pada kelas 7 dan 8. Data penelitian dikumpulkan pada 30 Mei-2 Juni 2016 dengan menggunakan kuesioner perilaku merokok, teman sebaya, dan efikasi diri. Penelitian ini diolah dengan Uji Chi-Square dengan nilai kemaknaan p<0,05. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara teman sebaya (p=0,000) dan efikasi diri (p=0,000) terhadap perilaku merokok remaja. Disarankan kepada sekolah untuk memberikan sanksi yang tegas kepada siswa yang ketahuan merokok dilingkungan sekolah maupun di luar sekolah, pemberlakuan kawasan tanpa rokok di sekolah serta pemberian edukasi berupa pelatihan tentang penggerakan anti rokok, dan edukasi mengenai bahaya rokok serta dampak yang ditimbulkan. According to data from Research and Health Research Association in 2013, the West Sumatra province was ranked fourth with a percentage of 15.8%. This study aims to determine relationships peer group and self efficacy for adolescent smoking behavior in SMPN 13 Padang. The study used a cross sectional survey with a total sample of 175 students in grades 7 and 8. Purposive sampling method is used to determine the number of samples. Data were collected on 2016 May-June, 30-2. Bivariate analysis using chi-square statistical test with a significance p value of <0.05. The result showed a significant relationship between peer group (p = 0.000) and self efficacy (p = 0.000) for adolescent smoking behavior. It is recommended school to provide strict sanctions for students caught smoking environment of school or out of school, the implementation of smoking area in the school as well as the provision of education in the form of training on anti-smoking mobilization, and education about the dangers of smoking and its impact.
