Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas mengenai karakteristik dari power spectrum very high frequency (VHF) pada petir negative cloud to ground (-CG) menggunakan metode short-time fourier transform (STFT). STFT berfungsi sebagai penentu domain frekuensi sinyal non-stasioner yang berubah dari waktu ke waktu, yang memberikan resolusi yang bergantung pada frekuensi dan berhubungan langsung dengan spektrum fourier. Frekuensi yang lebih baik disediakan dalam waktu singkat yang penting dalam mempelajari fitur karakteristik petir dengan STFT. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan memberikan pengetahuan mengenai karakteristik power spectrum VHF petir -CG dengan mendapatkan nilai waktu saat amplitudo maksimum, nilai power spectrum dan nilai frekuensi nya. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan lima data yang direkam pada Juni 2021 yang dianalisis mengenai karakteristik power spectrum petir -CG. Dari 5 data petir yang diteliti bahwa rentang power spectrum pada petir -CG sebesar -42,06 dB hingga -39,87 dB, rentang frekuensi petir -CG sebesar 32,6 MHz hingga 92,43 Mhz dan rentang waktu saat amplitudo bernilai maksimum adalah 100 ms hingga 258,1 ms. Power spectrum menjelaskan tentang nilai persebaran energi (power) berdasarkan nilai frekuensi dan waktu. Kata Kunci: Power Spectrum, Very High Frequency (VHF), Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT), Negative Cloud to Ground (-CG) Abstract This study discusses the characteristics of power spectrum very high frequency (VHF) on lightning negative cloud to ground (-CG) using method short-time fourier transform (STFT). STFT serves as a frequency domain determinant of non-stationary signals that change over time, which provides frequency-dependent resolution and is directly related to the Fourier spectrum. Better frequencies are provided in a shorter time which is important in studying lightning characteristic features with STFT. This study has the aim of providing knowledge about the characteristics power spectrum VHF lightning -CG by getting the time value when the maximum amplitude, valuepower spectrum and its frequency value. This study uses five data recorded in June 2021 which are analyzed regarding characteristics of power spectrum lightning-CG. From the 5 studied lightning data that range power spectrum at -CG lightning of -42.06 dB to -39.87 dB, the lightning frequency range -CG of 32.6 MHz to 92.43 MHz and the time range when the maximum value of the amplitude is 100 ms to 258.1 ms. Power spectrum explain about the value of the distribution of energy (power) based on frequency amd time values.
