Abstract

ABSTRACT Male Sex Male (MSM) is sexual behavior between men. This behavior is seen as an unnatural way to get sexual satisfaction. Some experts define it as deviating from the norms that apply in a social system (society). The deviant labeling of MSM does not stop people from committing MSM. The number of MSM recorded in Bukittinggi City in 2020 is 518 out of 1649 people LGBT, which will probably continue to increase yearly. As a result of the deviant label, MSM feels isolated in social life. Their solution was to create a clandestine meeting and seclude themselves. It is necessary to make prevention efforts for boys to grow and develop to deviate from their gender. This study uses a mixed-method of the ADDIE model research approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research begins with a phenomenological study using qualitative methods, conducting indepth interviews with MSM actors and people who recognize their behavior. After that, a quantitative analysis was performed using a questionnaire on 148 MSM actors in Bukittinggi City. Furthermore, the formulation of a model based on qualitative and quantitative data is carried out. The model implementation was carried out on 59 parents of boys aged 6-12 years, and an evaluation was carried out. The qualitative study results obtained several causes of MSM behavior, namely parenting patterns, loss of a father figure, and sexual trauma at pre-school age. From quantitative studies, the results show that behavior starts at the age of 13-18 years (50%), the average sexual partner is 23-40 years old, the duration of MSM behavior is 9.5 years (53%) and parenting patterns are 57%. The parents carry out the implementation of the module. The results of the performance of the module showed the effect of giving the module on knowledge (p = 0.000), with a mean difference value of 3.71, attitude (p = 0.000), the mean difference of 16.5, and parenting pattern (p = 0.000) mean difference 15.49. It can be concluded that parenting has a high role in the occurrence of male sexual behavior, and the use of the model is considered very effective in preventing male sexual behavior. It is recommended for parents to be able to provide appropriate parenting patterns. Keywords: Male Sex Men, Parenting, Prevention Bibliography : 64 (2003-2020)
