Abstract

THE IMPACT OF TRAVEL RISK PERCEPTION IN COVID 19 CONTEXT, TRAVEL RISK PERCEPTION IN NATURAL DISASTER CONTEXT, AND TRAVEL ANXIETY, TOWARD TRAVEL INTENTION ON DOMESTIC TOURIST IN INDONESIA TO TRAVEL IN 2021 MID-YEAR HOLIDAY Frisye Angguni1, Sari Lenggogeni2 Magister Management.Economic Faculty. UniversitasAndalas frisyeangguni@gmail.com1, sarilenggogeni79@gmail.com2 ABSTRACT This study examined the relationship between travel risk perceptions in Covid 19 context, travel risk perception in natural disaster context and travel anxiety, toward travel intention among domestic tourist in Indonesia to travel in 2021 mid-year holiday.The populations in this study are all potential domestic tourists in Indonesia with sampling techniques use in probability sampling. This research Data were collected from 236 potential domestic tourists via an online survey and analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of this study revealed that health crises that occur such as the Covid 19 Pandemic and natural disaster as well, can lead to negative travel risk perceptions of the tourists, such as travel bans issues, travel restrictions, and susceptibility to getting infected by Covid 19 while traveling. Furthermore, the travel risk perception in term of Covid 19 and natural disaster then affects the travel anxiety and travel intention of these tourists. The findings in this study are accompanied by implications for stakeholders in the tourism sector who will be expected to prepare for the post-corona pandemic.Travel risk perception in Covid 19 and in natural disaster had a significant impact on travel anxiety and travel intention during the Covid 19 Pandemic. Travel anxiety was found to be a significant mediator between the travel risk perception in Covid 19 and travel intention.
