Abstract
PENGARUH KONSENTRASI AIR KELAPA SEBAGAI ZPT ALAMI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SAMBUNG PUCUK TANAMAN KAKAO (Theobroma cacao L). ABSTRAK Kakao mampu meningkatkan perekonomian serta devisa negara, namun masalah utama usaha tani perkebunan kakao adalah rendahnya poduktivitas kakao yaitu kurang dari 1 ton/ha/tahun, sedangkan potensi hasil bisa mencapai 2,5 ton/ha/tahun. Penyebab utama rendahnya produktivtas kakao diataranya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan petani dalam teknik budidaya tananan kakao salah satunya dalam penyediaan bibit unggul. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pemberian air kelapa sebagai zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) alami terhadap keberhasilan sambung pucuk kakao, dan memperoleh konsentrasi air kelapa terbaik untuk pertumbuhan sambung pucuk kakao. Penelitian telah dilakukan di Balubuih kenagarian Sungai Talang Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, dari bulan Januari hingga bulan Mei 2020. Metode percobaan ini menggunakan metode rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 5 perlakuan yaitu 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% dan 100%, batang atas yang digunakan berasal dari klon BL-50 serta batang bawah berasal dari klon TSH 858. Parameter yang diamati adalah persentase keberhasilan sambungan, jumlah tunas, panjang tunas, diameter tunas, jumlah daun, lebar daun dan panjang daun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pemberian air kelapa dengan berbagai konsentrasi menunjukkan hasil yang berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman hasil sambung pucuk dengan tanaman tanpa perlakuan, namun pemberian air kelapa dengan berbagai konsentrasi menujunjukkan hasil yang relatif sama antar perlakuan. Konsentrasi yang tepat untuk keberhasilan dan pertumbuhan sambung pucuk adalah air kelapa dengan konsentrasi 25%. Kata kunci: kakao, perbanyakan vegetatif, fitohormon, konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh. THE EFFECT OF SEVERAL CONCENTRATION OF COCONUT WATER AS NATURALLY PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS ON THE GROWTH OF CACAO (Theobroma cacao L.) CLEFT GRAFTING. ABSTRACT Cacao is able to increase the national economy and foreign exchange, but the major problem of cacao cultivation is the low productivity, which is less than 1 ton / ha / year, while the potential yield can reach 2.5 ton / ha / year. The main cause of it is the lack of famers knowledge in cacao cultivation techniques, such as the provide of superior seeds. The objectives of this study were to determine the effect of coconut water as naturally plant growth regulators (PGR) on the success of cacao cleft grafting, and to obtain the best concentration of it to support the growth of cacao cleft grafting. The research was conducted at Balubuih, Sungai Talang Village, Lima Puluh Kota District, from January until May 2020. The reseach method was a completely randomized design (CRD), consisted of 5 treatments, namely 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% coconut water, the scion used was a BL-50 clone and the rootstock was a TSH 858 clone. The observed parameters were the percentage of successful grafting, number of shoots, shoot length, shoot diameter, number of leaves, leaf width and leaf length. Based on the results of the persent study, it is known that the provision of coconut water showed significantly different results compered with cacao crops without coconut water treatment, but the provision of several concentration of coconut water did not show significant differences each other. The efficient concentration of coconut water for the success and support the growth of cacao cleft grafting was 25%.
