Abstract
Rancang Bangun Alat Pengaduk Pupuk Organik Skala Industri Wiro Saputra, Santosa ABSTRAK Pupuk organik sebagai faktor peningkatan unsur hara tanah sangat penting demi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman khususnya di bidang pertanian. Penggunaan pupuk organik ini meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Dikarenakan proses pembuatannya yang masih manual menyebabkan stok yang tersedia tidak mencukupi untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar. Proses pembuatan pupuk meliputi fermentasi, pengeringan, penghalusan dan pencampuran. Pekerja melakukan proses pencampuran dengan pengadukan secara manual dengan kapasitas kerja ± 300 kg/jam. Untuk itu diperlukan mesin pengaduk yang dapat meningkatkan kapasitas kerja pengadukan pupuk organik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan . Urutan proses penelitian ini meliputi pembuatan mesin pengaduk pupuk organik, melakukan uji fungsional serta melakukan evaluasi kinerja dari mesin pengaduk, bahan yang diaduk adalah 70 kg kotoran serta waktu pengadukan setiap 5, 10 dan 15 menit dengan perbandingan 1:2 dengan rincian 1 kotoran sapi berbanding 2 kotoran ayam. Kegiatan penelitian ini menghasilkan alat pengaduk pupuk organik dengan komponen mesin yaitu: Rangka utama, Drum pengaduk, Agitator, Bak penampung, Puli dan Belt, Motor penggerak, Speed Reducer. Alat pengaduk pupuk ini mempunyai kriteria : (1) Mampu bekerja mengaduk kotoran sapi dan ayam secara mekanis (2) Frekuensi putar poros rata-rata agitator 43.66 ± 0.451 RPM (3) Tingkat kebisingan berada pada skala 87 dB – 94 dB (4) Bahan yang diaduk tercampur sempurna pada waktu 15 menit (5) Kapasitas kerja mesin pengaduk yang menghasilkan pupuk yang berkualitas pada waktu 15 menit, pengadukan pupuk 280 kg/jam. Kata kunci - rancang bangun, alat pengaduk, kotoran ayam dan kotoran sapi, pupuk organik Develope Organic Fertilizer Mixer Design for Industrial Scale Wiro Saputra, Santosa ABSTRACT Organic fertilizer as a factor to increase soil nutrient which is essential for plant to growth and development, especially in agriculture. The use of organic fertilizer increased from year to year. Due to the manufacturing process is still manual, it causes the stock available is insufficient to meet market demand. Fertilizer production process include fermentation, drying, smoothing and blending. Workers doing the mixing process with stirring manually with working capacity of ± 300 kg /h. It required a mixing machine which can increase the working capacity of organic fertilizer stirring. The purpose of this research is to design organic mixer fertilizer for industrial scale . The sequence of this study include the manufacturing of organic fertilizer mixing machine, perform functional test and evaluate the performance of the mixer, the material stirred is 70 kg of dung and the stirring time is every 5, 10 and 15 minutes whith ratio 1: 2 with details 1 cow manure with 2 chicken manure. This research produces organic fertilizer mixer with engine components : main frame, Drum mixers, Agitator, Funnel Reservoirs, Puli and Belt, drive motor, Speed Reducer. This fertilizer mixing machine has the following criteria: (1) Able to stir cow manure and chicken mechanically (2) The frequency of the average agitator rotation is agitator 43.66 ± 0.451 RPM (3) Noise level is in scale of 87 dB - 94 dB (4) Stirred materials mixed completely in 15 minutes (5) Working capacity for stirring machine that produce quality fertilizer in 15 minutes, fertilizer stirring is 280 kg/hours.
