Abstract

The purpose of this research to get data about duck structure’s population of local. Usefulness of this research to deliver information about dukc’s population of local, this it can be used for breeding programe of duck the research uses sample of go farmer from three villages egual 28.244 ducks. It is done by survey method. Data retrieval is done by using stratified random sampling system. Counted variables in this research are number of adult male duck ( Nm), number of adult female duck (Nf), number of young male and female duck (tail), number of male and female duck (tail), calculate the number of actual population (Na), number of effective population (Ne), and in-breeding rate per generation (Δf). This research was completed at sub district of Bayang regency of Pesisir Selatan started from februari, 1st 2012 to februari 25st 2012. From result of the research can be concluded that the number of duck’s population of local at subdistrict of Bayang are 28.244 in tail. Highest population was at Talaok village about 11.112 (39,34 %) ducks intail. Percentage of duck’s population structure of local at subdistrict of Bayang regency Pesisir Selatan are adult duck 53,01 %, young ducks 43,87 %, duckling 3,12 %, with the number of adult female ducks 13.823 tail (48,94%), adult male ducks 1.150 per tail (4,07%), young female ducks 11.255 tail (39,85%), young male ducks 1.135 tail (4,02%) for duckling 881 tail (3,12%). Effective population size (Ne) local duck at subdistrict of bayang regency of Pesisir Selatan is 4.246 duck tail. The number of actual population (Na) 14.973 tail, cross rate in per generation to local duck at subdistrict of Bayang regency of Pesisir Selatan is about (0,01 %).
