Abstract

COVID-19 has given rise economic shock, which affects individual economy, homestays, micro, small companies, medium or large, even affect the country's economy with coverage scale from local, national, and even global. As a result, the government encourages social isolation, self-quarantine, and work-from-home opportunities. It could even be the government's (PSBB) implementation of a lockdown, which has a dramatic impact on the welfare of many businesses, particularly in micro, small and medium-sized business operations, most of them were paralyzed and on the edge of bankruptcy. Thus, it is necessary to do this research to see its impact empirically. This study used is primary data that is sought and processed by researchers. Primary data used were collected through the distribution of questionnaires The sampling technique used random sampling, with a sample of 100 MSMEs based on slovin formula. The results of this study showed 90% of the MSMEs in Padang impacted by COVID-19 which mainly destructed MSMEs revenue, other aspects such employment, production impacted as well.
