Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of bank’s financial ratio on profitability of government banks during 2018-2012. In this study there are five independent variables that consist of bank’s financial ratio based on risk and capital, there are : Non Performing Loan (NPL), Interest Rate Risk (IRR), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) with dependent variable is profitability. The number of populations found in this study were 4 banks. All populations serve as research participants. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple regression. Hypothesis testing is performed using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 20.0 for windows through F-test (ANOVA) and T-test (partial). The result of this study showed that together (F-test) all independent variables affect the profitability. Then, four independent variable affecting profitability significantly on T-test which consist of Non Performing Loan (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). While Interest Rate Risk (IRR) has no effect on profitability.
