Abstract

Coronavirus atau COVID-19 merupakan virus jenis baru yang pertama kali ditemukan di Wuhan China, yang sudah tersebar ke berbagai negara di belahan dunia. Penyebaran COVID-19 dari hari kehari semakin meningkat untuk itu diperlukan pengetahuan yang baik untuk mendukung sikap dan tindakan yang tepat untuk mencegah penyebaran COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan mahasiswa Universitas Andalas tentang pencegahan penyebran COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei deskriptif dengan menggunkan teknik pengumpulan data kuantitatif. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah mashasiswa Universitas Andalas yang berjumlah 393 orang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik clustes sampling (Area Sampling). Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada responden melalui google from. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 51,7% mahasiswa memiliki pengetahuan tinggi, 40,5% sedang dan 7,9% rendah. Sebagian besar mahasiswa (85,8%) memiliki sikap positif dan 72,8% mahasiswa memiliki tindakan yang positif terhadap pencegahan COVID-19. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah penyebaran COVID-19 adalah dengan melakukan tindakan yang tepat, oleh karena itu, diharapkan kepada mahasiswa untuk menambah wawasan mengenai pencegahan COVID-19 dan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, karna dengan pengetahuan yang baik akan mendorong sikap yang positif dan tindakan yang tepat untuk mencegah penyebaran COVID-19. Coronavirus or COVID-19 is a new type of virus that was first discovered in Wuhan China, which has spread to various countries around the world. The spread of COVID-19 from day to day is increasing. Therefore, good knowledge is needed to support the right attitude and action to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This study aims to describe the knowledge, attitudes and actions of Andalas University students regarding the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. This research is a descriptive survey research using quantitative data collection techniques. The sample of this study was the students of Andalas University, amounting to 393 people who were selected using the cluster sampling technique (Area Sampling). The data collection tool used a questionnaire which was distributed to respondents via google from. The results showed that 51.7% of students had high knowledge, 40.5% were moderate and 7.9% were low. Most of the students (85.8%) had a positive attitude and 72.8% of students had positive actions towards preventing COVID-19. Efforts that can be made to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are to take appropriate action, therefore, it is hoped that students will gain insight into the prevention of COVID-19 and can increase knowledge, because with good knowledge it will encourage positive attitudes and actions. right to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
