Abstract

An automatic liquid density measurement instrument based on Arduino Uno has been designed using a load cell sensor and an ultrasonic sensor. This system is designed by connecting the load cell sensor with the HX711 module to convert changes from resistance into voltage. The data that has been obtained is then processed by the Arduino Uno microcontroller using the programming language of Arduino IDE. The results obtained are the density value of the liquid sample from the mass and volume measured of the liquid by the measuring cup and displayed on the LCD. When the liquid sample exceeds 400 mL from the size of the measuring cup which is flowed through the mini pump, the relay stops. The result of this research is that the load cell sensor has a sensitivity value of 0.0004 V/g and an offset value of 2.2742 V with an average correlation coefficient of R2꞊0,9982. The percentage ratio of the density of the sample of distilled water with the theoretical density obtained a value of 3.8%. The value is obtained with a liquid condition that is optimized for volume 400 mL.
