Abstract

Purpose According to the National Commission on Violence against Women in 2019, the most victims of dating violence were students aged 13-18 years. However, only 6% reported their case. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal and environment factors with dating violence towards female student of senior high school N Padang in 2020. Method The study was conducted from April 2019 to April 2020 with a cross sectional design. The population was students of class XI and XII senior high school N Padang who had dated (134 samples with systematic random sampling technique). Data collection using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by chi-square and logistic regression test. Result There are as many as 13.4% of respondents experienced dating violence. There is a relationship between violence between parents and dating violence (p = 0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that interparental violence was the variable most associated with dating violence (p = 0.04, OR = 4.928). Conclusion It is expected that victims of dating violence seek for help and report the perpetrators. Schools are expected to add the dating violence to the PIK-R and BK priorities. Parents are expected to resolve disputes between husband and wife without using violence .
