Abstract

Konservasi baik secara insitu maupun exsitu dapat menjadi cara untuk menjaga kelestarian Nepenthes sp. Salah satunya yaitu dengan teknik perbanyakan vegetatif secara setek. Penelitian dengan judul Pengaruh Pemberian Berbagai Konsentrasi Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) terhadap Pertumbuhan Setek Pucuk Kantong Semar (Nepenthes reinwardtiana Miq.) telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari-Mei 2020 di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Andalas, Padang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan konsentrasi IBA yang memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan setek pucuk Nepenthes reinwardtiana Miq. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dilakukan adalah perlakuan IBA 0 ppm, IBA 5 ppm, IBA 10 ppm, IBA 15 ppm, dan IBA 20 ppm. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian IBA berbagai konsentrasi memberikan pengaruh yang sama terhadap pertumbuhan setek pucuk Nepenthes reinwardtiana Miq., kecuali terhadap panjang kantong yaitu perlakuan IBA 20 ppm merupakan konsentrasi yang menghasilkan kantong terpanjang yaitu sekitar 6,43 cm. Abstract Conservation both exsitu and insitu can be a way to preserve Nepenthes sp. One of them is by using the vegetative propagation technique by cuttings. The research on effect of some concentration of Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) on the growth of shoot cutting of Nepenthes reinwardtiana Miq. was conducted from February to Mei 2020 in the Experimental Garden of Agricultural Faculty of Andalas University, Padang. The aimed to know the IBA concentration that give the best effect to growth of shoot cutting of Nepenthes reinwardtiana Miq. This research used method of Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatments consist of control, IBA 5 ppm, IBA 10 ppm, IBA 15 ppm, and IBA 20 ppm. The result of this study showed that giving IBA with various concentrations has the same effect to the growth of shoot cutting of Nepenthes reinwardtiana Miq. except for the bag length, namely 20 ppm IBA treatment was the concentration that resulted the longest bag, which is about 6,43 cm.
