Abstract
RESPON TANAMAN SERAI WANGI (CymbopogonnardusL.) TERHADAP PEMBERIAN BERBAGAI DOSIS KOMPOS DI TANAH ULTISOL Abstrak Serai wangi (Cymbopogon nardusL.) merupakan salah satu tanaman penghasil minyak atsiri yang tergolong family Gramineae (rerumputan). Tanaman serai wangi termasuk komoditas tanaman perkebunan yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini telah dilakanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Andalas, Padang pada bulan Desember 2019 – April 2020. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian berbagai dosis kompos dan mendapatkan dosis kompos terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan serai wangi di tanah ultisol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah dosis kompos 0 kg, 0,5 kg, 1 kg, dan 1,5 kg/lubang tanam. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan sidik ragam melalui uji F pada taraf 5%, jika uji F hitung lebih besar dari F table dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Duncan New Multiple Range Test 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian dosis kompos 1,5 kg/lubang tanam memberikan hasil yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman serai wangi, dari hasil penelitian disarankan untuk membudidayakan serai wangi di lapangan menggunakan pupuk kompos dengan dosis 1,5 kg/lubang tanam untuk membantu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman serai wangi. TO VARIOUS DOSES OF COMPOST IN ULTISOL SOIL Abstract Citronella plants (CymbopogonNardus L.) is one of the plants that produce atsiri oil that is classifies into Gramineae(grass) family. Citronella plant is a plantation commodity that has potential to be developed in Indonesia. This research was done in Andalas University Faculty of Agriculture Experimental Garden from December 2019 to April 2020. This research aims to determine the effect of several doses of compost and to obtain the best compost dose on the growth of citronella plant in ultisol soil. The method used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of four treatment levels and three repetitions. The treatments used were compost doses of 0 kg, 0.5 kg, 1 kg, and 1.5 kg/ planting hole. The observed data were analyzed with variance through the F test at 5% level, if the F test count was greater than F table, then followed by a further test using Duncan New Multiple Range Test at 5% level. The results showed that the compost dose of 1.5kg/ planting hole gave the best results on the growth of citronella plant. From the research results it is suggested to cultivate citronella plant in the field using compost at a dose of 1.5kg/ planting hole to help increase the growth of citronella plant.
