Abstract

TINGKAT RESISTENSI WERENG BATANG COKLAT (Nilaparvata lugens Stal. Mortalitas nimfa WBC cenderung meningkat seiring meningkatnya konsentrasi. Konsentrasi sesuai anjuran menyebabkan mortalitas mencapai 80% yang tergolong kriteria sangat tinggi. Sebaliknya, meningkatkan konsentrasi insektisida dapat menurunkan persentase keberhasilan nimfa WBC menjadi imago (16%). LC50 dan LC95 adalah 0,75 g/l dan 2,85 g/l pada hari pertama setelah aplikasi. Kata kunci: Nilaparvata lugens, insektisida MIPC, resistensi, mortalitas, LC50 dan LC95, rentan RESISTANCE RATE OF BROWN PLANTHOPPER (Nilaparvata lugens Stal. 1854, Hemiptera: Delphacidae) IN PADANG CITY AGAINST MIPC INSECTICIDE Abstract Excessive application of insecticides in controlling the brown planthopper or BPH (Nilaparvata lugens Stal.) caused many environmental problems, including resistance. This study aimed to measure the resistance rate of BPH from Nagari Pisang Padang City to MIPC insecticides, to determine the mortality rate of BPH and the LC50 and LC95. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments consisted of the concentration of MIPC insecticides; ½ recommendation, 1 recommendation (as recommended), 1½ recommendation, 2 recommendations, and control. The results showed that the resistance of BPH from Nagari Pisang was still classified as susceptible or sensitive to MIPC insecticides with a low resistance ratio between 0,2-0,6. BPH nymph mortality tended to increase when the concentration increased. The recommended concentration caused mortality to reach 80% classified as very high. Conversely, increasing the concentration of insecticides could reduce the percentage of success of BPH nymphs becoming adult (16%). The LC50 and LC95 were 0,75 g/l and 2,85 g/l on the first day after the application. Key words: Nilaparvata lugens, MIPC insecticide, resistance, mortality, LC50 and LC95, vulnerable
