Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh campuran pati biji durian dengan pati singkong terhadap karakteristik bioplastik. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis varian (ANOVA) dan dilajutkan dengan Duncan’s New Mulltiple Range Test (DNMRT) pada taraf 5%. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah pencampuran pati biji durian dengan pati singkong (0%: 100%, 20%:80%, 30%: 70%, 40%:60%, 50%:50%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campuran pati biji durian dengan pati singkong berpengaruh nyata terhadap ketebalan dan perpanjangan putus. Dari pengujian karakteristik bioplastik diketahui bahwa pengaruh campuran pati biji durian dan pati singkong yang tepat pada perlakuan E (pati biji durian 50% : pati singkong 50%) dengan ketebalan 0,27 mm, kuat tarik 7,17 MPa, perpanjangan putus 0,13 %, daya serap air 91,46%. Kata kunci : bioplastik, karakteristik, pati biji durian, pati singkong ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of mixed durian seeds starch with cassava starch on the characteristic of bioplastic. This study used a Completely Randomize Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The treatment in this study was the mixing durian seeds starch with cassava starch (0%:100%, 20%:80%, 30%:70%, 40:60%, 50%:50%). The result of the research showed that the mixing 0f durian seeds starch with cassava starch significantly effected to thickness and elongation. From characteristics testing of bioplastic, could be known that the best mixing of durian seeds starch with cassava starch was treatment E (durian seeds starch 50% : cassava starch 50%) with thickness 0.27 mm, tensile strength 7.17 MPa, elongation 0.13 %, water absorption 91.46%.
