Abstract

This research investigates the relationship between transformational leadership, communication effectiveness and job satisfaction on employee’ performance (case in: RSUP Dr.M.Djamil Padang). The data obtained through questionnaire. The samples were drawn from 105 nurses in RSUP Dr.M.Djamil Padang. The data analyzed by using SPSS 16 and SmartPLS. In this research there are four variable, those are independent variable which are transformational leadership and internal communication, the dependent variable which is employee’ performance and the mediating variable is job satisfaction. The findings indicated that transformational leadership has significant effect on nurse’ performance, transformational leadership has significant effect on nurse’ job satisfaction, internal communication has significant effect on nurse’ job satisfaction, internal cmmunication has significant effect on nurse’ performance, job satisfaction has significant effect on nurse’ performance, and job satisfaction are partially mediating the relationship between transformational leadership and nurses’ performance, and the relationship between internal communication and nurses’ performance.
