Abstract

“KARAKTERISASI MORFOLOGI TANAMAN KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) HASIL KULTUR JARINGAN DAN KONVENSIONAL DARI KEBUN BINAAN PPKS DI KAPUBATEN DHARMASRAYA” ABSTRAK Penelitan ini telah dilaksanakan di kebun binaan Pusat Penelitian Kelapa Sawit ( PPKS ) yang berlokasi di Sungai Dareh, Kecamatan Pulau Punjung, Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan di mulai dari bulan Desember 2018 sampai Februari 2019. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakter morfologi tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) varietas D x P Marihat (hasil kultur jaringan) dan D x P Sungai Pancur (hasil persilangan konvensional) di kebun binaan PPKS Dharmasraya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah berupa metode deskriptif, dengan metode ini peneliti dapat melihat, memaparkan dan menjelaskan karakter morfologi tanaman kelapa sawit. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive sampling). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat keragaman (perbedaan) pada 9 variabel pengamatan sedangkan satu keseragaman (kesamaan) diperoleh pada variabel filotaksis yang sama antara varietas D x P Sungai Pancur dan D x P Marihat yang ada di kebun binaan PPKS di Sungai Dareh, Kecamatan Pulau Punjung, Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Kata Kunci : Kelapa Sawit, Morfologi, Kultur Jaringan, Konvensional "MORPHOLOGY CHARACTERIZATION OF OIL PALM (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) RESULTS OF TISSUE CULTURE AND CONVENTIONAL CROSSING IN PPKS DEVELOPMENT GARDEN, DHARMASRAYA” ABSTRACT This research was carried out in the Oil Palm Research Center (PPKS) development garden in Sungai Dareh, Pulau Punjung District, Dharmasraya . The research was conducted for 3 months on December 2018 until February 2019. The objective of this study was to know the morphological characters of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) D x P Marihat variety (results of tissue culture) and D x P Sungai Pancur variety (results of conventional crossing) in PPKS development garden , Dharmasraya. The research method was a descriptive method, by this method the researcher can see and explain the morphological characteristics of oil palm plants. Sampling was by purposive sampling. The results showed that there are different variations on 9 observed variables whereas one similarity was obtained on variable phyllotaxis between varieties D x P Sungai Pancur and D x P Marihat in the PPKS development garden in Sungai Dareh, Pulau Punjung District, Dharmasraya..
