Abstract

The canopy estimation by using GLAMA Application have been studied in Permanen plot of Biological Education and Research Forest (HPPB) Andalas University, Padang, West Sumatra from 2019 to December 2019. The purpose of this study was to estimate canopy cover of the permanent plot. The method was purposive sampling to collect Photo Shoot of Canopy Cover by using GLAMA Application. The result of this study was found total average Canopy Cover was 77.66% with the smallest was 54.93% and the largest was 91.75%. Relationship between tree stand density and canopy cover in each subplot was not so clear (r2=0.048). Relationship between basal area and estimation of Canopy that found at two subplots for canopy cover at of 4.65% and 95.35% other factors.
