Abstract

At the era of Barack Obama administration, a shift occurred in foreign policy of United State of America, where previously focused on Middle East shifted to Asia Pacific. This is proven by launched Pivot to Asia. The purpose of this research is to describe the impact coused by Pivot to Asia from Barack Obama Government to stability of Asia Pacific region. This research used Grand Strategy concept to explain the Pivot to Asia. Then, describe the impact of grand strategy by M Drew and Donald M Snow, researcher try to explain the impact of Pivot to Asia in Asia Pacific region. The impact can be seen clearly by looking at the responses from states at the region and issue that coming after. Responses that recived were varied. This condition disturb the stability of the region. This research found impact of Pivot to Asia consist of two point that are dillema of conventional war and weapons poliferations.
