Abstract
To maintain the security of a multi-room building, an individual security system is required for each room. This research aims to develop a room security system based on the AT89S51 microcontroller that activates upon detecting human entry. When the passive infrared (PIR) sensor detects a person entering the room, the microcontroller triggers a voice output stored in the ISD2560 IC, which is then broadcast through a speaker. The KC7783R PIR sensor outputs a 5 V signal upon detecting an object via human body infrared radiation and 0 V when no object is detected. Experimental results show that the sensor has a maximum detection range of 6 meters and a maximum detection angle of 60°, both of which are unaffected by ambient temperature, humidity, or light intensity.
