Abstract

The main causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia are hemorrhage (28%), eclampsia (24%) and infection (11%). Antepartum hemorrhage is a common cause of all deaths due to obstetric hemorrhage. One of the Antepartum hemorrhage is caused by placenta previa. Age and parity are the risk factors for the occurrence of placenta previa. The objective of this study was to determine the relations of age and parity with placenta previa a RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang. This research was analytic study using cross sectional study design by taking 38 maternal medical record at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang within the period January 1 2013 until December 31 2013. Data were analysed by univariat, bivariat and the statistical analysis used was chi-square test with a significance level of 0,05. The result retrieved from 38 cases registered, that maternal age ≥ 35 years old and multiparity were found has relations with placenta previa. There is significant correlation between maternal age (p value=0.002) and parity (p value=0.002) with placenta previa Keywords: Antepartum hemorrhage, Placenta previa, Age, Parity ABSTRAK Penyebab utama kematian ibu di Indonesia adalah perdarahan (28%), eklampsia (24%), dan infeksi (11%). Perdarahan antepartum adalah penyebab umum dari semua kematian akibat perdarahan obstetri. Salah satu perdarahan antepartum disebabkan oleh plasenta previa. Usia dan paritas merupakan salah satu faktor resiko untuk terjadinya plasenta previa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara umur dan paritas dengan plasenta previa di RSUP DR. M. Djamil Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional dengan mengambil 38 data rekam medis ibu di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang dalam periode 1 Januari 2013 sampai dengan 31 Desember 2013. Data ini dianalisis secara univariat, bivariat, dan analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah chi square dengan tingkat signifikansi 0.05. Hasilnya didapatkan dari 38 kasus yang terdaftar, ibu yang berusia ≥ 35 tahun, dan multiparitas meningkatkan plasenta previa. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara usia ibu (p value = 0.005) dan paritas (p value = 0.002) dengan plasenta previa. Kata Kunci :Perdarahan antepartum, Plasenta previa, Usia, Paritas
