Abstract

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SOLID DECANTER DAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR (POC) LIMBAH TAHU TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT KOPI ROBUSTA (Coffea canephora L.) ABSTRAK Kopi robusta (Coffea canephora L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan perkebunan yang berperan penting dalam perekonomian nasional dan menjadi sumber pendapatan utama masyarakat di berbagai daerah, termasuk Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Keunggulan kopi robusta terletak pada daya adaptasinya yang tinggi terhadap berbagai kondisi lingkungan, produktivitas yang lebih stabil, serta ketahanan terhadap hama dan penyakit dibandingkan kopi arabika. Namun demikian, keberhasilan pembudidayaannya sangat ditentukan sejak tahap pembibitan. Tanah Ultisol yang miskin unsur hara menjadi kendala utama dalam menghasilkan bibit yang sehat dan berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian solid decanter dan pupuk organik cair (POC) limbah tahu terhadap perbaikan sifat kimia tanah serta pertumbuhan bibit kopi robusta, sekaligus menentukan kombinasi dosis terbaik dari kedua perlakuan tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan dua faktor, yaitu solid decanter (0, 75, 150, dan 225 g/polybag) dan POC limbah tahu (0, 25, 50, dan 75 ml/tanaman), sehingga diperoleh 16 kombinasi perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian solid decanter berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, dan volume akar, sedangkan POC limbah tahu meningkatkan pertumbuhan sistem perakaran dan berat kering tanaman. Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada dosis 150 g/polybag solid decanter dan 50 ml/tanaman POC limbah tahu yang menghasilkan bibit kopi robusta siap salur dengan pertumbuhan optimal. Pemanfaatan limbah organik ini tidak hanya memperbaiki kesuburan tanah Ultisol, tetapi juga mendukung efisiensi pembibitan dan mewujudkan sistem pertanian berkelanjutan yang ramah lingkungan. ABSTRACT Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora L.) is one of the leading plantation commodities that plays an important role in the national economy and serves as a major source of income for communities in various regions, including Dharmasraya Regency. The superiority of robusta coffee lies in its high adaptability to diverse environmental conditions, stable productivity, and greater resistance to pests and diseases compared to arabica coffee. However, the success of its cultivation is largely determined during the seedling stage. Ultisol soils, which are poor in nutrients, become a major constraint in producing healthy and high-quality seedlings. This study aimed to determine the effect of solid decanter and tofu waste liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) on improving soil chemical properties and enhancing the growth of robusta coffee seedlings, as well as to identify the best dosage combination of both treatments. The research was conducted using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors, namely solid decanter (0, 75, 150, and 225 g/polybag) and tofu waste LOF (0, 25, 50, and 75 ml/plant), resulting in 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications. The results showed that the application of solid decanter significantly affected plant height, stem diameter, and root volume, while tofu waste LOF promoted root system development and plant dry weight. The best treatment combination was obtained from 150 g/polybag of solid decanter and 50 ml/plant of tofu waste LOF, which produced robusta coffee seedlings ready for field transplanting with optimal growth. The utilization of these organic wastes not only improves the fertility of Ultisol soils but also enhances nursery efficiency and supports environmentally friendly sustainable agriculture practices.
