Abstract

Myocardial infarction is a typical complaint of chest pain retrosternal like heavy objects overlap. Pharmacological pain management divided the administration of 5 mg sublingual nitrate and non-pharmacological as guided imagination and make music. What kind ofmusic by Mozart has power deliverer and healer. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in pain scale reduction in myocardial infarction given client imagination guided technique without and with the accompaniment of Mozart's music in space CVCU Dr.M.DJamil Padang. This study uses Quasi Experimental design approach NonequivalentComparison Group Pretest Posttest Design using Paired T Test and Independent-samples T Test. Total sample of 30 respondents. Pain measurement tools using the Numeric Rating Scales. The results obtained in the comparison group decreased by 2.3 scale pain scale (p = 0.000), and the experimental group obtained a decrease of 3.4 scale pain scale (p = 0.000). There are significant differences in the pain scale decreased in both groups (p = 0.003). Provision of engineering imagination Mozart Musical accompaniment guided better in reducing pain. Advice to health care institutions to use the technique of guided imagination accompanied by Mozart's music in reducing the pain of myocardial infarction.
