Abstract

Research about the Study of Ecology and Medicinal Plants in the KHDTK Haurbentes Bogor area, West Java, was conducted from October to February 2025. This study aims to determine the composition, structure, and diversity of plants in KHDTK Haurbentes with an area of 105.5 hectares using a combination of path and belt line methods with purposive sampling. Field surveys and plant identification were combined with interviews of residents from 10 villages to document the traditional use of medicinal plants. The result recorded 2,118 individuals at the seedling and undergrowth levels, representing 67 species from 39 families, while tree and sapling strata showed lower diversity. Several species were identified as ecologically and ethnobotanically significant. The species is used as a medicinal plant that can treat several diseases such as snake bite wounds and common cold. Quantitative analysis revealed that the highest Use Value (UV) among medicinal plants was Pulai (Alstonia scholaris) with a value of 1.25, indicating frequent and varied uses, while the highest Relative Frequency Citation (RFC) was 0.85 in Katuk (Sauropus adrogynus), reflecting strong recognition among local informants.
