Abstract
The aims of this research is to analyze and describe United States of The America's cultural imperialism efforts and process through jazz in order to win the Cold War against Soviet Union using Herbert Schiller's Cultural Imperialism theory. This research used qualitative-descriptive methods in explaining the fact that the political issues and international relations have been permeating and influencing cultural aspect significantly. This research found that United States of America performed its Cultural Imperialism in spreading its liberal democracy values through jazz by spreading it using its official radio, Voice of America's Music USA-Jazz Hour Program broadcast that caused the disappearance of Soviet Union's proletarian music as the authentic culture of Soviet society and the emergence of Stiliagi, a movement that demands the needed of western cultural products in Soviet Union. The result of this cultural imperialism is that Soviet Union gradually accepting American liberal democracy values.
