Abstract
Masker gel peel-off adalah masker yang dioleskan pada kulit wajah kemudian dikelupas setelah kering. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi pengaruh penggunaan ekstrak kulit buah manggis dalam pembuatan masker gel peel-off pati bengkuang, mendapatkan informasi berapa konsentrasi ekstrak kulit buah manggis terbaik pada pembuatan masker gel peel-off pati bengkuang, menganalisis nilai tambah masker gel peel-off pati bengkuang. Rancangan penelitian Tahap I penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 5 perlakuan (tanpa penambahan ekstrak kulit buah manggis, penambahan ekstrak kulit buah manggis 0,4%, penambahan ekstrak kulit buah manggis 0,8%, penambahan ekstrak kulit buah manggis 1,2%, dan penambahan ekstrak kulit buah manggis 1,6%). Tahap II menguji analisis nilai tambah mesker peel-off. Hasil penelitian Tahap I memperlihatkan perlakuan dengan penambahan esktrak (1,6%) merupakan perlakuan terbaik dilihat dari uji pH yang mempunyai nilai 4,95, aktivitas antioksidan 54,45%, akvitas antibakteri 11,30 mm, viskositas 31,75 cPs, daya sebar 6,53 cm, waktu sediaan mengering 20 menit, sediaan homogen dan tidak terjadi iritasi pada kulit; nilai sensori: warna 3,88 (suka), aroma 3,72 (suka), tekstur 3,68 (suka), sensasi di kulit 3,92 (suka). Hasil penelitian Tahap II menunjukkan nilai tambah pada pembuatan masker gel peel-off pati bengkuang dengan penambahan esktrak kulit buah manggis untuk satu kali proses produksi adalah sebesar Rp 52.311/kg dan rasio nilai tambah sebesar 55,26%. A peel-off gel mask is a mask that is applied to the facial skin and then peeled off after drying. This study aims to obtain information on the effect of using mangosteen fruit peel extract in the manufacture of bengkuang starch peel-off gel mask, obtain information on what is the best concentration of mangosteen fruit peel extract in the manufacture of bengkuang starch peel-off gel mask, analyze the added value of bengkuang starch peel-off gel mask. The research design of Phase I of this research was carried out using the Complete Randomized Design (CRD) method, with 5 treatments (without the addition of mangosteen peel extract, the addition of mangosteen peel extract 0.4%, the addition of mangosteen peel extract 0.8%, the addition of mangosteen peel extract 1.2%, and the addition of mangosteen peel extract 1.6%). Phase II examined the value-added analysis of peel-off mesker. The results of Phase I showed that the treatment with the addition of extract (1.2%) was the best treatment as seen from the pH test which had a value of 4.95, antioxidant activity of 54.45%, antibacterial activity of 11.30 mm, viscosity of 31.75 cPs, spreadability of 6.53 cm, drying time of 20 minutes, homogeneous preparation and no irritation to the skin; sensory value: color 3.88 (like), aroma 3.72 (like), texture 3.68 (like), sensation on the skin 3.92 (like). Phase II research results show the addition of mangosteen peel extract for a single production process is Rp 91.519/kg with an added value ratio of 76,26%
