Abstract

Bawang merah (Allium ascolanicum L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas tanaman hortikultura yang banyak di konsumsi manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan interaksi antara jenis mulsa dan dosis pupuk kandang ayam tertentu yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Panai Pasir Talang, Muaralabuh, Kabupaten Solok Selatan dengan ketinggian ± 430 meter di atas permukaan laut, pada bulan Desember 2018 hingga Februari 2019. Metode penelitian berupa eksperimen menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor I yaitu jenis mulsa (mulsa plastik hitam, mulsa plastik perak, mulsa jerami padi) dan faktor II yaitu pupuk kandang ayam (10 ton/ha, 20 ton/ha dan 30 ton/ha). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada interaksi antara pemakaian beberapa jenis mulsa dengan dosis pupuk kandang ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Pemakaian mulsa plastik hitam memberikan hasil yang terbaik pada bobot umbi segar per petak dan per hektar bawang merah yaitu 1,643 kg/petak dan 11,74 ton/ha. Dosis pupuk kandang ayam 20 ton/ha memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot umbi segar per rumpun, per petak dan per hektar serta bobot kering angin per rumpun, per petak dan per hektar bawang merah. Kata kunci : bawang merah, mulsa, pupuk kandang ayam, pertumbuhan, hasil GROWTH AND YIELD OF SHALLOT (Allium ascalonicum L.) USING SOME USE OF MULSES AND DOSES OF CHICKEN MANURE Abstract Shallot (Allium ascolanicum L.) is one of the horticultural crops that is widely consumed by humans. This study aims to obtain interaction the type of mulch and doses of chicken manure on the growth and yield of shallots. This Research was conducted at Panai Pasir Talang , Muara Labuh, South Solok Regency with a height of ± 430 meters above sea level, in December 2018 to February 2019. The research method is an experiments used factorial complete randomized design with two factors. Factors I is the type of mulch (black plastic mulch, silver plastic mulch, rice straw mulch) and factors II is chicken manure (10 tons / ha, 20 tons / ha and 30 tons / ha).. The results showed that there was no interaction between the use of several types of mulch with chicken manure doses on the growth and yield of shallots. The use of black plastic mulch yielded the best results on fresh tuber weight per plot and per hectare of onion namely 1,643 kg / plot and 11.74 tons / ha. The dose of chicken manure of 20 tons / ha gave the best influence on plant height, number of leaves, fresh tuber weight per clump, per plot and per hectare as well as wind dry weight per clump, per plot and per hectare of onion.
