Abstract
Tujuan Perusahaan wajib memberikan perlindungan tenaga kerja perempuan berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003. Pada UU Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 tersebut disebutkan beberapa poin mengenai perlindungan kerja terhadap tenaga kerja perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan perlindungan tenaga kerja di perusahaan bidang telekomunikasi Kota Padang tahun 2019. Metode Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2018 hingga Juni 2019 di PT. Telkom Witel Sumbar dan PT. Telkom Akses Kota Padang. Teknik penentuan informan yaitu dengan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi dan Focus Group Discussion. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan analisa data dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa komponen input belum terlaksana sesuai Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003. Pada komponen proses yaitu jam kerja perempuan, perlindungan kerja untuk perempuan haid, hamil, melahirkan dan menyusui belum diterapkan dengan optimal di perusahaan. Kesimpulan Penerapan perlindungan tenaga kerja perempuan di PT. Telkom Witel Sumbar dan PT. Telkom Akses Kota Padang belum diterapkan secara optimal. Disarankan kepada kedua perusahaan untuk dapat menjalankan peraturan perusahaan berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 tentang Ketenagakerjaan dan peraturan terkait lainnya. Law number 13 of 2003 mentions about work protection on female workers. This research aims to analyze the implementation of female workers’ protection in telecommunication company of Padang city 2019. Methods This research is qualitative research. This research was conducted on August 2018 until June 2019 in Telkom Witel West Sumatera and Telkom Akses Padang city company. Informant was selected by using purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by doing in-depth interview, observation and focus group discussion. Processing of the data was done by reducing data, presenting the data and taking conclusion. The data was analyzed with source and method triangulation. Results Based on the result of the research, input component is not implemented yet based on law number 13 of 2003. On the other hand, the process component such as office hours on female workers, menstrual leave policy along with maternity and pregnancy protection for female workers has not been implemented optimally in these companies. Conclusion The implementation on female workers’ protection in Telkom Witel West Sumatera and Telkom Akses Padang city has not been implemented optimally. We suggest the companies to implement law number 13 of 2003 concerning manpower, labour, and other related regulations. References : 38 (1996-2019) Keywords : work protection, female workers
