Abstract
Ovarian epithelial cancer is a malignancy of the ovaries with the highest mortality rate in gynecology. The incidence of ovarian epithelial cancer increases after age 50 with various risk factors. The role of the incessant ovulation process, gonadotropin stimulation, and hormonal fluctuations after menopause causes DNA damage to ovarian epithelial cells that pass through molecular pathways and create various types and subtypes of histopathology. The role of the pathway of spread through blood vessels and lymph has an impact on the stage of cancer. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between Lymphovascular Invasion (LVI) and the 2014 FIGO stage in ovarian epithelial cancer. This study is a categorical comparative observational analytical research with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using consecutive sampling techniques in ovarian cancer patients in 2022-2023 at the Anatomical Pathology Diagnostic Center of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital.
