Abstract

This study aims to see the actions of the United States in influencing Sudan to be willing to normalize its relations with Israel. Sudan and Israel have had an abnormal relationship that has been going on for years until the United States got involved which ended with Sudan finally agreeing to normalize its relations with Israel through the Abraham Accords. Therefore, it is necessary to see what actions the United States took in achieving this. In influencing Sudan, the United States is known as a country that has many advantages. With the advantages it has in influencing Sudan, we can see it using the concept of smart power. Using qualitative research methods, data will be collected and processed related to the power possessed by the United States in this case, we can see the actions taken by this country to influence Sudan. The action taken by the United States was to use all its power at once, both hard power and soft power. With the power it has, the United States' intervention succeeded in making Sudan willing to do what it wanted. In the end, the action of the United States that was able to make Sudan willing to normalize its diplomatic relations with Israel after so many years was through the use of smart power.
