Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of household socioeconomic factors on the incidence of stunting in Indonesia. Stunting is still a global issue, so it requires improved management. This study uses the dependent variable which is stunting, while the independent variables are mother's education, sanitation, water source, living area, child's gender, child's diet and total food expenditure. This study is located in Indonesia using data obtained through the Indonesian Family Life Survey wave 5 (IFLS-5) published in 2014. This study uses logistic regression and data processing using STATA version 14 software. The result of this study found that there is an effect of maternal education and child’s diet variable on the incidence of stunting in Indonesia, but water source, sanitation, living area, child’s gender and total food expenditure variable had no effect on the incidence of stunnting in Indonesia.
