Abstract

Self-efficacy is the belief regarding the extent to which a person estimates their ability to complete or perform tasks necessary to achieve a specific outcome. Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) offers a program focused on enhancing self-efficacy among the children in their care. However, there is a discrepancy in the field, as the children showed low self-efficacy. The purpose of this study is to describe the self-efficacy of foster children of LPKA. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The subjects of this study were 62 children in LPKA. The sampling technique used in this study was total population sampling. The measurement tool used was the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale adapted by Novrianto et al. (2019). The reliability of this measurement tool is 0.896. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis.. The results of the study show that the majority of children in LPKA have high self-efficacy, with 34 out of 62 children (54.84%) falling into this category.
