Abstract

Penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian pupuk kotoran puyuh telah dilakukan dikebun percobaan Kampus 3 Unand Dharmasraya dengan menggunakan media tanam berupa tanah Ultisol. Dengan tujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian pupuk kotoran puyuh dan mendapatkan dosis yang terbaik pada pembibitan tanaman kakao. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 taraf perlakuan dan 4 ulangan sehingga diperoleh 24 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri atas 2 bibit kakao yang masing-masing ditanam di polibag sehingga total terdapat 48 tanaman. Taraf pupuk dalam penelitian adalah 0 gram, 25 gram, 50 gram ,75 gram, 100 gram, 125 gram kotoran puyuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pupuk kotoran puyuh memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao dengan dosis yang terbaik yaitu 100 gram per polibag yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tinggi bibit, panjang daun, dan jumlah daun sedangkan untuk variabel diameter batang, panjang akar, bobot segar akar pada dosis 125 gram per polibag. Kata kunci : Kakao, pembibitan, kotoran puyuh, pupuk kandang, pertumbuhan tanaman, The study about effect of quail dung fertilizer has been done in the experimental field of the 3rd Campus Unand Dharmasraya by used Ultisol as plant medium. The objective of this study was to know the effect of quail dung doses and to obtain it best dosage in cacao seedling. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatment levels and 4 replications to obtain 24 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 2 cacao seedlings, which was planted in polybag so there were total 48 plants. The levels of quail dung fertilizer in the study were 0 gram, 25 gram, 50 gram, 75 gram, 100 gram,and 125 gram of quail dung. The results showed that quail dung provided a good effect on the growth of cacao seedlings with the best dose was 100 gram per polybag which can improve the growth of seedling height, leaf length, and number of leaves, while for variables stem diameter, root length, and root fresh weight the best dose was 125 gram per polybag.
