Abstract
Infant mortality rate (IMR) in the world reaches 26.7 per 1000 live births. One of the contributors to IMR is neonatal tetanus and diphtheria. This infection can be prevented by providing complete Tetanus diphtheria (Td) immunization to pregnant women. In 2023, the coverage of Td2+ immunization in pregnant women in the working area of Padang Pasir Health Center was 42.6%. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and husband's support with the status of Td2+ immunization during pregnancy in the working area of Padang Pasir Health Center, Padang City in 2023. This type of research is an observational analytical study with a Case Control approach, with a population of all pregnant women in the Padang Pasir Health Center work area, Padang City in 2023, namely 834 people. The sample in this study consisted of 88 respondents with a case: control ratio of (1:1). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, both in the case group and the control group. Based on the p-value of the relationship between maternal knowledge and the status of Td2+ immunization during pregnancy through the Chi-square test, the p-value was 0.000 (p<0.05) with an OR value of 9.6. Based on the p-value of the relationship between husband's support and the status of Td2+ immunization during pregnancy through the Chi-square test, the p-value was 0.000 (p<0.05) with an OR value of 17.9. It is concluded that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge and husband's support with the status of Td2+ immunization during pregnancy in the working area of Padang Pasir Health Center, Padang City in 2023. It is recommended for mothers to complete their immunization status and for husbands to support their wives in obtaining Td immunization, thus creating protection for both the mother and the fetus.
