Abstract

The purpose of the research is to examine the influence of fundamental factors on stock returns of companies listed on IDXENERGY or energy sector index on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2023 with the addition of covid-19 effect on stock returns in accordance with the situation that occurred in the research year range. This research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this research are all of energy companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2023 with purposive sampling technique. The research makes use of secondary databased on the collection of annual financial report data from each company. Research data processing was carried out using Stata 14 program using data panel regression analysis method. The results of this research indicates that: 1) Return on Assets (ROA) and Price to Book Value (PBV) have a positive and significant effect on stock returns, 2) Return on Equity (ROE) has positive and not significant effect on stock returns, 3) Earnings per Share (EPS) has a negative and not significant effect on stock returns.
