Abstract

This study aims to explain the factors that influence the ownership of BPJS Non-PBI people who work in West Sumatra Province. Health insurance is an important investment for everyone to protect against the financial risk of future health expenses. This study will look at employment status, per capita expenditure, education, marital status, area of residence, inpatient, and gender are factors that influence the decision to own BPJS Non-PBI in West Sumatra Province. This research is a quantitative research method with the data used as a cross-section in 2021. The object of this research is workers who have BPJS Non-PBI in West Sumatra. The data used in this study is the 2021 SUSENAS data. The data processing tool is Stata. The analysis method used in this study is the cross-tabulation data and logit regression analysis method. The results of the study find that The employment , marital status, marital status, and area of residence have a significant impact on BPJS Non-PBI ownership in West Sumatra Province in 2021. however, Per capita expenditure, gender, and patient care variables have no significant influence on the ownership of BPJS Non-PBI in West Sumatra Province in 2021.
