Abstract

This research aim at examining the effect of corporate governance practice on bank’s performance in Indonesia. Corporate governance is proxied by board size, ratio of non-executive independent directors to board size, number of board meetings, number of audit committee meetings, number of risk monitoring committee meetings, and concentrated shareholding. Bank’s performance proxied by efficiency of company using data envelopment analysis (DEA). Secondary data used in this research were collected from the publicity listed bank companies on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the period of 2013 – 2017. The data were analyze utilizing multiple linear regression with SPSS 16.0 program and DEAP 2.1 program. The result of the analysis found the number of board meetings have the significant effect on bank’s performance. While board size, ratio of non-executive independent directors to board size, number of audit committee meetings, number of risk monitoring committee meetings, and concentrated shareholding have no significant effect on bank’s performance.
