Abstract

Occupational safety and health (K3) is a program made for workers or laborers and employers as a form of prevention of work accidents and diseases due to work relations that may occur in workers in the work environment. Furthermore, if a work accident occurs to workers, workers are entitled to social security, for that the government makes the Social Security Program regulated in Law No. 3 of 1992 concerning labor social security as a recognition of workers' rights in obtaining sausage security. The Social Security Organizing Agency (BPJS) Employment recorded that the number of work accidents in Indonesia was 265,334 cases from January to November 2022. This number increased by 13.26% compared to the whole of 2021 which amounted to 234,270 cases (data indonesia.id, 2023). This data is an indication that the implementation of occupational safety and health (K3) must increasingly be a concern. Therefore, the purpose of this study aims to analyze compliance with the implementation of occupational safety and health (K3) in the construction project of keritis beach safety buildings in Kaur district (FY 2023). This research method is carried out by direct surveys to the field and conducting direct interviews with staff in the field. This project works on a beach safety building with a length of 0.484 km, the results of the study show that the degree of implementation of K3 consists of the following aspects: the use of personal protective equipment (58.0%), emergency management (80.0%), construction, excavation and concrete work (58.0%), the use of toxic substances (78.0%), cleanliness and work safety (91,0%). The obstacle in implementing K3 is the culture and preferences that are less realized by workers.
