Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of country of origin, ethnocentrism, beauty vlogger reviews, and product involvement on domestic cosmetics. The population in this study is Gen Z and Millennials who live in Padang City. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling using a purposive sampling method, namely the criteria or characteristics of Gen Z and Millennials who know cosmetic brands from Indonesia and have seen reviews of cosmetics from Indonesia conducted by beauty vloggers. The sample for this research was 155 respondents. Data processing in this research was carried out using SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) version 4.0. The results of this research show that country of origin and ethnocentrism have a negative and insignificant effect on purchase intention, beauty vlogger reviews have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, product involvement has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention for local cosmetics from Indonesia keyword: country of origin, ethnocentrism, beauty vlogger review, product involvement, purchase intention
