Abstract
Neonatal visits are essential neonatal health services by health workers carried out at least three visits, first at 6-48 hours of age, second at 3-7 days, and third at 8-28 days of age. This research aims to determine the factors associated with neonate visits in the Ikur Koto Health Center, Padang City working area in 2023. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design in the working area of the Ikur Koto Health Center, Padang City in July-December 2023. The population in this study is 81 mothers who have babies aged 1-3 months with a sample size of 77 people determined by total sampling technique. The instrument of this research is a questionnaire. Univariate and bivariate analyses were carried out using the chi-square test. The research results showed that 62.3% of respondents had complete neonatal visits, 45.5% of respondents had good knowledge, 51.9% of respondents had easy access to health facilities, 53.2% of respondents received high support from their husbands, and 71.4% of respondents stated that midwives played a role. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge (p=0.001), access to health facilities (p=0.001), husband's support (p=0.001), and the role of the midwife (p=0.001) with Neonatal Visits. It is hoped that midwives can provide education to mothers and husbands regarding neonatal visits and carry out continuous home visits.
