Abstract
PENGARUH PEMBERIAN ABU BOILER SEBAGAI CAMPURAN MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT KAKAO (Theobroma cacao L.) KLON BL-50 ABSTRAK Penelitian telah dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Universitas Andalas Kampus III Dharmasraya Sumatera Barat. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan September 2018 sampai Januari 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis abu boiler terbaik sebagai campuran media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao Klon BL 50. Penelitian merupakan percobaan lapangan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Dosis abu boiler yang diberikan adalah 0 gram/polibag, 300 gram/polibag, 350 gram/polibag, 400 gram/polibag dan 450 gram/polibag. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan uji F dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian abu boiler memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi bibit, diameter batang, jumlah daun, lebar daun, panjang helaian daun dan panjang akar. Dosis abu boiler terbaik untuk bibit kakao adalah 300 gram/polibag. Kata kunci: pembibitan, kakao, klon, abu boiler, media tanam THE EFFECT OF BOILER ASH AS A MIXTURE OF PLANT MEDIA ON THE GROWTH OF CACAO SEEDLINGS (Theobroma cacao L.) BL-50 CLONE ABSTRACT Research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of Andalas University Campus III Dharmasraya, West Sumatra from September 2018 to January 2019. This study aimed to obtain the best boiler ash dose as a mixture of planting media on the growth of cacao seedlings BL 50 Clones. The study was a field experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications. The boiler ash dose given is 0 grams / polybag, 300 grams / polybag, 350 grams / polybag, 400 grams / polybag and 450 grams / polybag. The observational data were analyzed by the F test and continued with the DMRT test at the level of 5%. The results showed that application of boiler ash gave a significant effect on seedling height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf width, leaf blade length and root length. The best boiler ash dose for cacao seedlings 300 grams / polybag. Keywords: seedlings, cocoa, clones, boiler ash, plant media
