Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyse the effect of government spending of education and health sectors on human development index in West Sumatera during 2011-2016 in 19 regencies/cities. This research used panel data, secondary data analysis. The research findings are (1) that government spending on education has positive and significant effect on Human Development Index, (2) government spending on health also has positive and significant effect on on Human Development Index of West Sumatra.
