Abstract

This research aims to describe the planning, implementation and evaluation of agricultural extension conducted by four different institutions in Sipora Jaya Village, North Sipora District, Mentawai Islands Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach that aims to describe social phenomena in farming communities through data collected and analysed in depth. Based on the results and discussion, the following conclusions can be drawn: Each institution has not compiled a complete and written agricultural extension plan. The implementation of agricultural extension conducted by the four institutions is practical although some are preceded by learning. Each institution has not conducted an evaluation of agricultural extension.
