Abstract

Preterm labor is labor that occurs at 20-37 weeks of gestation from the first day of the last menstruation. Preterm labor is estimated to reach 15 million events each year. The preventive action that can be taken is antenatal care as a preventive and promotive action for pregnant women. This study aims to determine the description of antenatal care on the incidence of preterm labor at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang Year 2022. This research is a descriptive research with total sampling technique. The data in this study were taken from the patient's KIA book, which was obtained by contacting the patient through contacts found in the medical record. Based on this study, it was found that most samples came from the age group of 20-35 years (61.1%), graduated from high school (68.5%), and worked as housewives (81.5%). The risk factor experienced by most patients was hypertension (55.6%). The type of preterm labor experienced by most patients was moderate to late preterm (61.1%). The highest frequency of patient visits was ≥4 visits (46.3%). Based on the number of ANC services obtained, with a frequency of ≥4 times were T1 (46.3%), T2 (44.4%), T4 (27.8%), T5 (27.8%), T10 (33.3 %). Most T7 services (33.3%) were obtained 3 times. While T3 (33.3%) and T7 (29.6%) were mostly obtained once. The majority of mothers have received T8 (72.2%) and T9 (64.8%) services. Based on the results obtained from the 10T service, there are still many mothers who do not receive services according to the minimum standard, which is 4 times. Therefore, there is still a need to optimize ANC services and provide outreach regarding the importance of ANC to mothers with premature births
