Abstract
Land Deed Maker Officials was instrumental in helping the head of the district and city land offices to carry out activities in the land registration process. Provisions governing land deed-making officials (PPAT) are contained in article 7 of government regulation number 24 of 1997 concerning land registration. Based on the data the author obtained from the Padang city land office, the number of PPATs in Padang city was 122 people. The PPAT is spread throughout the city of Padang with the most locations located in the city of Padang. The main problems in this study are: 1) how is the implementation and procedure of submitting the PPAT protocol that died? 2) what is the supervision of the submission of the protocol of the land deed maker who died in the city of Padang? This legal research uses an empirical juridical approach, namely a study that uses an approach to the problem by looking at the applicable legal norms and then associated with legal facts contained in the field. In this study data sources were obtained from library research and field research. Data collection techniques are carried out through document studies and structured interviews. The results of the study will show how the procedure for submitting protocols for land deed-making officials who died in the city of Padang, along with the obstacles faced.
